Meet Maks
Maks Bartiuk
PERSONAL BIO
Throughout his career, Maks has worked at top resorts and clubs around the world, from the Hamptons to Dubai. While enrolled in his master’s program, Maks helped the Northern Illinois University (NIU) men’s tennis program to their third Mid-American Conference Championship while he was the assistant coach.
As a player, he has a number of accomplishments in both tennis and pickleball. In tennis, Maks was ranked as the number one juniors player in his home country of Ukraine. He was then recruited to play for NIU (Division I) in the number one singles spot where he led the team to their first Mid-American Conference Championship in program history. New to pickleball in 2019, Maks was able to reach the quarterfinals of the USAPA National Championships only six months after first picking up a paddle. He finished 2019 ranked as the number 18 men’s singles player in the world.
Maks lives in La Quinta with his wife, Whitney, and twins, Misha and Mila. He enjoys adventure, learning, and is always trying something new.
